The Great Descent

The Great Descent is the mountain bike race LA needed. For all the mountain bike junkies, are you down to descend 10,000ft of elevation?

The route will cover some of our epic mountain bike routes, with 10,000ft of descending and 5,000ft of climbing.

The route will start at the highest peak and end at Let's Ride Cyclery.

We have routed an epic one way route that is 90% dirt and only 10% paved.

Get your bikes ready at your local shop or at Let's Ride Cyclery.

The Rules

This is a set route you will need to follow and there will be a time cutoff, we cant wait forever for you to finish.

You must ride the full route exactly, and under your own power, no catching a ride. At the finish we will be checking all finishers gps info to verify completion of the route.

There is no parking at Let's Ride Cyclery, please use the side streets behind the shop or make plans to be dropped off and picked up.

There is no sag vehicle to pick you up and take you home. Have a plan and tell someone.
